VOTE NO ON MIRBEAU-HUMMEL is a group of concerned residents from the city of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin who oppose re-zoning the 710 acre parcel known as the Hummel property.

On Tuesday April 1st, we, as citizens of Lake Geneva, will be allowed to vote in a non-binding referendum on re-zoning the property.  It is our hope that you will VOTE NO ON MIRBEAU-HUMMEL.

The property is currently zoned rural holding, which limits building to single-family housing with a density of one house for every 35 acres. With a NO VOTE, the zoning will remain as rural holding.

If the zoning is changed, the South Neighborhood Plan would allow a density of 5 to 7.5 dwelling units per acre, which is considered medium to high density.

Unlike the people in support of the Mirbeau-Hummel project,  we have nothing to gain financially, regardless of the referendum’s outcome.

Our main concern is to promote “common sense” and protect our community’s most important assets.

Please take the time to explore this site.  Our hope is to gain your support by VOTING NO ON MIRBEAU-HUMMEL on April 1st.

Welcome!
